"Gordie and Mary, I just came across this site in Dec,2011, to check on an address for a contribution to her favorite
charity, in this case the First Baptist in Geneva. Still wishing you two the best and my condolences on the death of Aunt Mae. It seems strange to think of her and then remember she won't be writing or calling us any more. She will be missed. Love to you both, Cousin Rich. "

Peg Thomas VanMeter from Hampshire,IL IL

"I met Gordon and Mrs. Marshall at Baker Cemetery one day and what lovely people they were. I planted some flowers on Mr. Marshall's grave and they thanked me so much. Mrs. Marshall sent me a lovely drawing of a fox that she had done, along with a wonderful note. Mrs. Marshall and my mother graduated together from Plato Center High School. I lost my mother in June and she is also buried at Baker. May they both rest in peace. I did not know Mrs. Marshall well, but knew her well enough to know that she was a gracious lady. Blessings to her family. "

Pat and Vern from Wausau WI

"Mary and Gordon,

Sorry we did not have a chance to visit with Mae last month. She sent a nice note regarding Valeria's death.

Your news of her death came as a surprise but what a way to end a life--mentally alert and able to visit with you.

Many good times were had be all talking to Mae about birds, her art endeavors, bridge playing and those TRIVIA PURSUIT questions. She probably has already organized a bridge group!!

Our thoughts will be with you both tomorrow."
