Verdelle “G.G.” Young age 93 of St. Charles died Monday January 3, 2001.
Verdelle was born April 3, 1917 to Frank and Gertrude Busse in Elk Grove Village, IL. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1936. She married Frank Young in 1938 and they made their home in St. Charles where they raised their daughter.

She is survived by her daughter Pam (John) Newsome of St. Charles, IL, two grand-sons, Bradley (Julie) Nelson of Downers Grove, IL, Christopher (Cathy) Nelson, of South Elgin, IL, three great-grandson Andy, Ryan, and Tom, and three nieces Sherry Summers, of Elgin, IL, Mary (Jim) Conway, of St. Charles, IL, Vicki (Pat) Helmer, of Elgin, IL, one nephew Vern Busse (JoAnne), of San Jose, CA., and several great-nieces and great-nephews and dear family friend Arlene (Ambrose) Lahm.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Young, parents, brothers LaVern (Euliala) Busse, Earl (Margaret) Busse, sisters Jane (Fred) Maas, Elaine (William) Klabunde, and an infant brother Frank, and nephews Eugene Busse and Rick Summers.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robin Ross of Robin’s Nest,her wonderful care-givers and staff for the loving care given to Verdelle for the past two and a half years.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday January 8, 2011 at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street (corner of Rt. 25 & Rt. 64) St. Charles, IL 60174, followed by a graveside service at Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin, IL. There will be a one hour visitation before the services on Saturday.
