James Dagnillo “Count” passed away on Tuesday, April 4th peacefully surrounded by his loved ones listening to Neil Diamond. Jim was born in Chicago, IL in 1934 to Frank and Louise Dagnillo.
Jim retired as Vice President of Manufacturing after working for Universal Brush Company for over 40 years. Jim served his country as an officer in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Jim was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Judith Dagnillo (Johnston), his father Frank and mother Louise, sisters Ann Bublich and Mary Stevenson.
Jim is survived by his two daughters Tina (Craig) Binette, Lisa (John) Carberry and son Frank (Candice) Dagnillo and his six grandchildren; Lauren and Brooke Binette, Drew, Owen and Leo Carberry and Ivy Dagnillo and many other dear relatives and friends.
Jim was a kind and gentle man who loved his family, church and friends. Before moving into Greenfields of Geneva Jim had an active life living in the Carillons of Plainfield. His passions beyond, church, family and friends included playing golf, music, dancing and watching every sport.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7th from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Yurs Funeral Home located at 1771 W State Street (Rte 38) Geneva, IL. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 10:3 0 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church 400 Cedar Street St. Charles.
