OBITUARY

George A. Walke age 76 of Elgin, formerly of Carol Stream, passed away surrounded by his loving family January 29, 2013.

He was born July 26, 1936 to Anton and Catherine Walke, in Chicago, IL. George attended Harrison Technical H.S. and went on to work for over 40 years at “MaBell”.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen nee Garcia, daughters Sandra Lesch, Debra (Rob) Skarbonkiewicz, Laura (James) Rasmussen, Tracy Hogan, son Christopher (Nicole) Walke, eight loving grandchildren, his sister Lillian Majewski, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Steve Majewski.

Funeral Services will be 9:00 A.M. Saturday February 2, 2013 at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street, (corner of Rt. 25 & Rt. 64) St. Charles, IL 60174.

Visitation will be 3-8:00 P.M. Friday February 1, 2013 at Yurs Funeral Home, St. Charles.

Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery, Wheaton, IL.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
