OBITUARY
JoAnn Jay, 90, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on August 9, 2012. JoAnn was born January 14, 1922 in St. Charles where she lived all of her life.She married Robert Jay, “SR” on July 8, 1942 and worked side by side with her husband running Wasco Nursery for over 50 years.
Together JoAnn and SR raised three children; Barbara (Charles) Dunham, Nancy (Hugh) Epping and Robert (Cathee) Jay. She had four grandchildren; Kendra (Jene) Burno, Mackenzie (Harris) D’Antignac, Benjy Jay, Kaityn Jay and 4 great-grandchildren; J. Burno, Michael Burno, Cecilia D’Antignac and Henry D’Antignac.
She is preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Nancy.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Robert and JoAnn Jay Memorial Fund at the Town and Country Library, Elburn, IL.
Services will be on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Yurs Funeral Home in St. Charles, IL. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. with internment at Garfield Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at her home after burial for attendees.
