OBITUARY
BATAVIA - Patsy Ann Brown Young, 83, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012, in St. Charles, Illinois. Patsy was born June 2, 1929 in Beaumont, Texas to Clifford Wallace Brown and Ivy Simmons Brown. Patsy earned an AA degree from Lamar University and balanced a 24 year career as a Medical Technologist at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas with unending, loving support to family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, William, and her oldest brother, Wallace Brown. She is survived by her only child, Michael and her daughter-in-law, Pamela of Batavia; three grandchildren, Bethany Knowles, Matthew Young and Cassandra (Joe) Booth; and three great grandchildren, Sydney, Jacob and Emma. She is also survived by her brother, Norman; her nieces Becky, Norma and Rhonda, and nephews Wallace and Clifford.
A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Patsy’s name be sent to the American Cancer Society or Provena Pine View Care Center, 611 Allen Lane, St. Charles, IL. 60174.
