OBITUARY

William “Bill” L. Bracken, age 71, of St. Charles passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at his home. He was born November 17, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois to William A. and Harriet Bracken.

For over 35 years, he worked as a chemist in Research and Development for the paper industry and later started his own consulting practice.

For several years, he volunteered at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago and at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union.

Mr. Bracken is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Lou, a daughter, Linda (fiancé David Maclachlan) Bracken of Chicago, two granddaughters, Tara Lynn and Jenna Grace Bracken and a sister, Evelyn “Bunny” (Jake) Corrough of Lombard.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 30th at the Congregational United Church of Christ, 40W471 Fox Mill Blvd, St. Charles. Rev. Dr. John Rodgers officiating. Interment will be private at Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
