OBITUARY
David Wayne Busby, age 56, of St. Charles, died Tuesday June 12, 2012 at Delnor Hospital surrounded by his loving family.He was born July 25, 1955 in St. Charles, Il. The son of the late Melvin and Theda Busby.
He was employed by the St. Charles VFW # 5036 under Commander Richard Leckee for the past 13 years.
He is survived by his loving sons, Marshal “Opie” Busby and his fiancé Patty., and David ‘Jo” (Kelly). Two grandchildren, Julian and Trinity. Three sisters, Phyllis, Judy, and Janet. Two brothers, Calvin and Donnie. He is also survived by his loving companion of 13 years Diane Pope. And many cousins, nieces and nephews. Also his step children, Gwen (Charles) Thompson and Don Pope. Step grandchildren, Mercedes Hall and Anna Thompson.
David was preceded in death beside his parents and grandparents, and nieces, nephews and a great nephew.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Yurs Funeral Home St. Charles. Rev. Calvin Bolin Officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Geneva. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the Yurs Funeral Home St. Charles. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.
