OBITUARY
Bernice A. Broman, nee McKeown – age 90 years – of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, formerly of Chicago and Berwyn, Illinois, beloved daughter of John H. and Linda McKeown of Chicago and loving wife of the late Orville C. Broman – passed away peacefully on May 31, 2012 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.
Bernice grew up in the Midwest with her sisters Dorothy and Alice and her brother John. She attended Providence High School where she won numerous awards and medals in swimming and diving competitions, and later graduated from the DePaul University School of Business. She worked for many years as an executive assistant for Western Electric and Belden Corporation, from which she later retired.
A true optimist – she was an avid reader and lively conversationalist who possessed a youthful spirit that remained undiminished by age. She was beloved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed.
Survived by her five children Linda (James) Morgan, Barbara (Richard) Burger, Joseph (Maureen) Broman, Nancy Elliott and Patricia (Jeffrey) Majestic, she also leaves behind many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation is Monday, June 4th from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Yurs Funeral Home, 1771 West State Street (Route 38), Geneva, Illinois, 60134. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 5th at 10:30 AM at St Mary’s of the Assumption Church in Maple Park, Illinois. Graveside services will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery at 1400 South Wolf Road (near Wolf & Roosevelt), Hillside, Illinois.
