Greco, Michael A. (Mike) and C. Katherine (Kathy) Michael A. Greco, age 66, at rest August 27, 2009, and C. Katherine Greco (nee Young), age 67, at rest August 28, 2009, of St. Charles, IL. Loving parents of Jennifer (Roberto) Santos, Michael (Kelly) Greco, and Chris (Lisa) Greco. Son of the late Michael and Virginia (nee Falbo) Greco and daughter of the late Charles and Sophie (nee Kline) Young of St. Bernard, Ohio. Ever-loving teasing brother of Charlotte (John, CPD) Kinnane and little sister to JoAnn (Ron) Seuberling, and the late Charles “Red” (Marian) Young, Ronald “Froggie” Young, and Marilyn Young, all of St. Bernard. Doting “Pop-Pop” and Gramma to four grandchildren who are devastated by their sudden deaths, Michael, Emma, Max, and Gabriella. Mike and Kathy have a large family who will miss them dearly including cousins Regina, Kay, Lois and Chuck, Mary Jo and Ervin, Guy John and Diane, and dozens of nieces and nephews for whom Kathy made the best sugar cookies in the world, including Brian and Jennifer, Dan and Marcy, Phil and Pat, Keith and Trina, Kevin and Arden, Sharon and Rich, Terry and Renae, Amy and Bryan, Chris and Jennifer, Martina and Rob, Mike, and Michelle and Darrell. Mike was a retired Captain of the US Navy and served his country in the Vietnam War. He loved building houses for Habitat for Humanity, building furniture, and babysitting his grandkids. At the time of her death, Kathy worked full-time for PACT, INC., as an advocate for adults with developmental disabilities. Adored by her co-workers and clients, she worked tirelessly for those who don’t have a voice. She was an Eucharistic Minister to the Homebound for St. John Neumann and was actively involved in her CRHP group. Kathy worked out every day at Curves, made beautiful stamped cards, and baked the best pies and cookies for family, friends, and clients. Mike and Kathy went to every Bears’ game together and loved serving their church. But, more than anything, Mike and Kathy loved their grandchildren. Visitation Tuesday, from 2-9 p.m. at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles. Funeral Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. at St. John Neumann, 2900 E. Main Street, Saint Charles.
